Hygiene best practice amid COVID-19

The Coronavirus might be slowing down many of our Hunter businesses, but for local commercial cleaning specialist Strike Force Services, business is strong.

The business has had to adapt quickly to respond to the virus pandemic including; providing awareness on existing processes, and providing specialist training in COVID-19 for selected teams, implementing new risk management plans, forecasting and address supply shortages.

“We’ve implemented procedures normally used in critical healthcare environments and have adapted these for commercial and heavy industry,” said Manager Director Jason Schutz.

The business has also set up a management committee of key stakeholders to address the COVID-19 crisis and inform management to keep clients and employees protected from the virus.

When it comes to hygiene advice for businesses, Mr Schutz encourages hiring a cleaning business with quality accreditation and then investing time working together to tailor a scope of works which reflect the specific needs of your business, as hygiene standards are the core of the service for cleaning companies.

Mr Schutz urges businesses to consider installing systems which reduce touch points including; automatic flush systems, automatic doors and automated sensor lights, as a way to curb the spread of viruses.

“The environment is currently ever-changing and we encourage businesses to embrace that as we have, and act sooner rather than later to address areas of potential risk,” said Mr Schutz.
